Create an even deeper connection with your voice through the support of the drum. This session will include more opportunities to sing. If you’re feeling the call to do more singing and would like to try out singing songs and experience The More Singing - Women's Voice and Drum - do join us in May. We’ll be singing some songs as well as chants, call and response, ancestral voices and all the usual favourites. This workshop is about building on what we’ve created together in the Women’s Voice and Drum Workshop and taking it to the next level. Wecoming all women - whether you’ve attended a workshop before and feel ready to explore further with that same nurturing and non judgemental environment or you're new to the space enjoy singing in groups or like singing but maybe feel self concious about singing in front of other people and would feel called to sing in this safely held non judgemental group setting. And as always we'll be working with the drums to support us connecting with our true authentic voice. A bit about the background to Women's Voice & Drum Workshops So many women at this time are feeling a call to heal their connection with their voice. There’s a longing to express ourselves more fully. And to break through patterns of keeping quiet Working with the drums and the voice together can be a liberation of self expression and can create a supportive environment to allow our authentic voice to emerge. We aren't aiming to sound 'perfect' or 'nice' we will be inviting the realness of our voices to gently be uncovered. So many of us have wounds around our voices not being welcomed. And in this space we are looking to welcome the voice as it is. This will be a gentle and deep work. Meeting you where you are and helping you move at your own pace to a deeper connection with your voice, having it heard and welcomed. This workshop is a space for women to reconnect with their authentic voice and be supported by the sounds and rhythm of the drum - unlocking self-expression, empowerment, and a deeper connection to ourselves. Singing Workshop - Women's Voice & Drum - this session offers more opportunities to sing and sing songs as well as connect with our voices and each other through chants and call and response. Who is this workshop for: those who have done a workshop with me before and those who haven't done a workshop and feel happy to be singing as part of a group in this safely held enviroment. Through guided vocal practices, songs, drumming, gentle healing experiences and intuitive sound work, we will: 🔸 Liberate the voice – Explore humming, sounding, simple chants, and free expression to explore our voices at a pace that feels right for us and discover our own unique voices. 🔸 Connect with the drum – Experience the grounding and transformative power of drums to heal and connect, allowing the drums to support us as we explore our voices. 🔸 Deepen Inner connection – Use sound and rhythm for self-discovery, healing, and inner connection. 🔸 Sing simple easy to learn songs - Singing songs together to allow us to connect more deeply with the themes of songs and find harmony and connection with ourselves and the group. 🔸 Come together – In this space we will be giving each other permission to explore our voices. And in so doing unravel generations of wounds and fears around being heard. Emma Hewitt, a drama facilitator, drum circle holder and energy healer will be guiding the group through a series of voice explorations, songs and drumming to find a deeper connection with our voices with the aim to experience greater self expression. It’s the kind of day where everyone can work at their own pace and there’s no expectations - let's co-create a space where we can open up to something very beautiful - our own voices. This will be a safely held trauma informed, non judgemental and supportive environment so we can be as brave as we feel in any moment to explore our voices.
