About this event

Folkestone Sound Baths - Springseries Immersive 1h sound bath meditation with Gongs, singing bowls, monochord, voice & percussion Welcome friends The winter is now in full swing as 2026 takes hold. This time of the year has historically asked of us to slow down and listen in. To remember our bodies still follow seasons and limits. Our monthly Wednesday in Folkestone is a 1hour sound immersion to explore where the cold months take us. Playing deeper sounds and exploring darker tones. What to expect and bring For those not familiar with sound baths, its often a deeply relaxing, meditative sound journey you experience laying down comfortably in a shared space with others. For some people it can feel very restful, nourishing or healing, whilst for others an unsual exploration of our minds and body sensations. Please bring a mat, blanket and pillow. If you can't bring one or more of this let me know so I can arrange. Price £15 Full price £12 Tight budget £7 For low income There's free parking just outside the hall, which is adjacent to the church (you can see it just behind the church as you come up from the street - off the high street) About us Sound Emergence is a contemplative sound practice led by André Braga-Verissimo and Sasha Maye Bruce. Their work brings together sound, heritage, and community to create immersive listening experiences across Kent and beyond. Through deep listening and shared attention, Sound Emergence explores sound as a space for contemplation and collective gathering. Working across art, music, and history, they invite audiences to slow down and experience sound as a living connector between place, people, and time. Looking forward to journey in sound together CONTACT Email: soundemergence@gmail.com mobile: 07984407502 André Instagram
